Earlier this week, American beauty brand Sunday Riley was thrust back into the spotlight after the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) filed a complaint against the company for allegedly creating fake reviews.

The FTC began investigating the brand after a Reddit post from a former employee surfaced in October 2018 that included alleged screenshots of company emails that showed staff being directed.
